Abstract: (APS)
We examine the process γγ→W+W− in the context of a γγ collider constructed by backscattering laser light off the electron beams of a 500-GeV e+e− collider. We present analytic formulas for the helicity amplitudes with general κ and λ anomalous couplings. We calculate the effective cross section, accounting for the photon spectrum and including polarization effects. Finally, we assess the sensitivity of this experiment, and compare with those of other experiments running at a comparable energy.
