Abstract: (Elsevier)
We have derived the unitarity and triviality bounds for the two Higgs doublet version of the standard model by investigating at tree level the elastic s-wave amplitudes of various Higgs and would-be Goldstone boson scatterings. We have found that in order to respect unitarity at high energies one, and for a large range of parameters both, of the Higgses is lighter than 1 TeV. If the masses of both neutral Higgses exceeds the triviality bound of 1.09 TeV the perturbation will break down even at low energies.- electroweak interaction
