Abstract: (APS)
The e+e− spectrum resulting from ultrerelativistic heavy-ion collisions is shown to have a sharp resonance at an invariant mass M≊0.2Tc (≊40 MeV of typical Tc=200 MeV). Observation of this resonance would signal the existence of the quark-gluon plasma, confirm the first-order nature of the transition, and determine the value of Tc.
