Abstract: (Elsevier)
We have studied effects of 1/ m Q corrections for semi-leptonic decays in the heavy quark effective theory phenomenologically. The effect on the value of V cb , which is derived by Neubert's method, is at most a few percent. Our analyses are also successful in the semi-leptonic decay of the D meson. In particular, branching ratios of D 0 →K ∗− ℓ + ν and D 0 →K − ℓ + ν decays are consistent with experimental values in virtue of 1/ m s corrections.- heavy quark
