Abstract: (WSP)
The B-meson decay constant fB is calculated using the static approximation on the lattice. Our result for fB shows a large dependence on the size of smearing of operators used to create the B-meson. This result implies that one cannot extract the reliable physical value of fB from the lattice simulation with the static approximation.
