Abstract: (Elsevier)
Radiative breaking of the electroweal symmetry in the standard supergravity SU(5) model under the combined LEP and CDF constraints on the SUSY mass spectrum and under the proton lifetime constraint of Kamiokande is analyzed. The analysis gives an upper bound of 180 GeV for the top quark mass. The allowed domain of masses for the charged and the neutral Higgs are then determined for a given m t over the full allowed m t range. Domains of the Higgs mass accessible at LEP2 and at the SSC are delineated. It is shown that when τ(p→ g ̄ nK)>1.3X10 32 yr, then either a light CP even Higgs or a light chargino (or both) should be observable at LEP2.- grand unified theory: SU(5)
