Abstract:
A chiral invariant effective Lagrangian may be used to calculate the three-body interactions among low-energy pions and nucleons in terms of known parameters. This method is illustrated by the calculation of the pion-nucleus scattering length.- pi nucleus: scattering length
- scattering length: pi nucleus
- three-body problem
- pi nucleon: interaction
- interaction: pi nucleon
- effective Lagrangian: chiral
- pi deuteron: interaction
- interaction: pi deuteron
