Abstract: (Elsevier)
We present the first solitonic solutions of the SU(2) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model including σ, π, ρ, A 1 and ω mesons for hedgehog configurations on the chiral circle. The lagrangian incorporates Sakurai's universality and vector meson dominance by means of current-field identities. In order to fix the parameters of the lagrangian we make use of the full momentum dependent mesonic two point functions in the one quark loop approximation. For reasonable values of the consistuent quark mass we find that solitons exist provided that m ω >870 MeV. In addition, whether the baryon number is carried by valence quarks or by the Dirac sea, depends strongly on the particular values of the constituent quark mass and the ω meson mass.
