Abstract: (ADS)
The present results for quasar clustering on large scales are based on a sample of about 750 quasars, and are noted to be in good agreement with recent observations of galaxy clustering at low redshifts, suggest that the prediction that quasars trace the same large-scale structure as galaxies as clusters do is consistent with the observed quasar correlation. For an Einstein-de Sitter universe, the observed quasar correlation function would lead to a zero-redshift correlation amplitude comparable to that for Abell clusters; quasars may then represent high peaks in the initial density spectrum.Note:
