Abstract: (Springer)
The breakdown of chiral symmetry in a many-quark system at finite temperature is studied by considering a bilocal quark interaction derived from a field theoretical treatment of QCD. We find that such an approach yields a chiral transition temperature which is about 30% lower compared to the standard NJL model prediction.- quantum chromodynamics
