Abstract: (Elsevier)
We have computed in perturbative QCD the structure function g 2 ( x , Q 2 ) of polarised leptoproduction at order α s on a quark target of mass m . Upon taking the first moment we find that it vanishes exactly at all orders in m 2 / Q 2 as demanded by the validity of the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule, contrary to a recent claim.- quantum chromodynamics: perturbation theory
