Abstract: (Elsevier)
Half lives for neutrino accompanied double positron emission (2 νβ + β + ), positron emission/electron capture (2 νβ + /EC) and double electron capture (2νEC/EC) have been calculated within a pn-QRPA model. Despite considerable uncertainties in the predictions, 2 νβ + /EC and 2νEC/EC decay rates can be expected to be relatively fast and might be within reach of advanced double beta decay experiments. For the neutrinoless channel coefficients of the decay rate formula for 0 νβ + β + and 0 νβ + /EC decay have been derived, for the first time complete. While limits on the neutrino mass and right-handed parameters can at present not compete with the best limits from β − β − decay - mainly due to the weak existing experimental constraints −0 νβ + /EC decay is found to be more sensitive to the right-handed current parameter 〈λ〉 than other 0νββ decay modes.- talk: Osaka 1994/03/08
