On the systematic behavior of the chaoticity parameter in HBT analyses

Abstract: (Elsevier)
We study the systematic behavior of the chaoticity parameter extracted in very high energy collision experiment. We find that this systematic behavior is understood with the assumption that the bosons are produced through the decay of coherent sources. This approach not only gives a hint to the quantum structure of these processes but also provides interesting predictions about a possible signature of Quark-Gluon Plasma formation.
