The fractal behaviour of multiplicity production in 400 GeV/ c pp collisions is analyzed using the modified multifractal moments which are calculated from the experimental data and Monte Carlo events sample. The generalized dimensions D q for q =2, 3, 4, 5 are determined. The multifractal character is observed. The linear relations between ln〈 n q 〉 and ln( δη ) are tested, where n is the multiplicity in a single bin of width δη and the symbol 〈〉 means averaging over all bins. The results indicated that it may be necessary to separate the dynamical effects from the statistical background in order to determine D q from the slopes.
