Abstract:
The supersymmetric QCD one-loop corrections to the hadronic width of a heavy charged Higgs boson, basically dominated by the top-quark decay mode H +tbˉH~{+}\rightarrow t\,\bar{b}, are evaluated within the MSSM. The study of such quantum effects, which turn out to be rather large, is essential to understand the hypothetical supersymmetric nature of a heavy charged Higgs boson potentially produced in the near future at the Tevatron and/or at the LHC. Although our study covers the general parameter space of the MSSM, we emphasize the results obtained in a subspace singled out by a possible supersymmetric solution to a known persisting crisis in some of the high-precision ZZ-boson observables.
