Abstract:
Flux-string models can be used to study the deconfining phase transition. In this note, we study the models proposed by Patel. We discuss a continuum limit for the model in an attempt to go beyond mean field theory. The one-loop Coleman-Weinberg effective potential is calculated for the latter model. We show that the quantum corrections vanish at large when the energy contribution from the so-called ``Y-vertices'' scale with .- 05.50.+q
