Abstract: (Elsevier)
The effect of charge symmetry breaking (CSB) due to the isospin mixing of neutral vector mesons, ω and ϱ 0 , on nuclear matter is examined by means of a relativistic nuclear model. It is shown that a delicate cancellation between two large CSB contributions from ω and ϱ 0 results in a small yet significant isovector asymmetry in nuclear matter.
