Abstract: (Oxford Journals)
We introduce the Seiberg-Witten solution of N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory in four dimensions, emphasizing its geometric properties. We examine the Seiberg-Witten solution of all N = 2 A-D-E Yang-Mills theories by comparing with the microscopic instanton calculus. A recent development in understanding N = 2 Seiberg-Witten geometry in view of eleven-dimensional M-theory is briefly described.- talk: Kyoto 1997/12/02
