Abstract: (Elsevier)
It is argued that a past Gargamelle beam dump experiment probably excludes the axion's existence. Present beam dump experiments can probably help settle the matter conclusively. Also, it seems that CP violation in weak interaction models can be calculationally separated from that due to the strong interaction θ-vacuum. Some models have very little renormalization of θ.- INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTS
- POSTULATED PARTICLE: AXION
- P P: INCLUSIVE REACTION
- MODEL: WEAK INTERACTION
- QUANTUM CHROMODYNAMICS: VACUUM STATE
- CP: violation
- RENORMALIZATION
