Abstract: (IOP)
Lifetimes of states in themagnetic band in193Pb have been measured with the recoil-distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) method. This band is built on theI?= 29/2?isomer (Eex= 2584 keV, T1/2= 9.4 ns). High-spin states in193Pb were populated in the170Er (28Si, 5n) reaction at 149 MeV. The nuclear ?-decay was detected with the GASP spectrometer in combination with the K?ln plunger device. These results provide for the first time a complete set of experimental observables for such an excitation in atomic nuclei.References(15)
