Abstract: (Elsevier)

The formula is obtained for πd scattering length by summing the infinite series of the nonrelativistic Feynman graphs. It generalizes Brueckner's result. Next it is shown that this result is greatly affected by the account of the terms corresponding to the nucleon kinetic energy in intermediate state.
