Abstract: (Elsevier)
We review here (i) the present status of the a ± -particle model of Lee in terms of current data on CP non-conservation and (ii) a chimeron model proposed by Okun in which the W ± -meson of weak interactions is identified with the a ± -particle. Properties of the a ± - particles and chimarons are delineated and their relevance to the CP problem, especially in high-energy processes where real production occurs, are discussed. In particular, it is shown that for the chimeron model (ii), ‘gross’ CP violating effects are possible in neutrino induced W-production processes.- intermediate boson
