Abstract: (Elsevier)

The LHCf experiment at the LHC accelerator is ready for data taking. Both the LHCf detectors have been successfully tested and installed in their running configuration. The status of the apparatus, control software and some results of the last bea m test at the SPS accelerator are presented in this work.
