Abstract: (EDP Sciences)
Dissipation and fluctuations of one-body observables in heavy-ion reactions aroundthe Coulomb barrier are investigated with a microscopic stochastic mean-fieldapproach. By projecting the stochastic meanfield dynamics on a suitablecollective path, transport coefficients associated with the relative distancebetween colliding nuclei and a fragment mass are extracted. Although microscopicmean-field approach is know to underestimate the variance of fragment massdistribution, the description of the variance is much improved by the stochasticmean-field method. While fluctuations are consistent with the empirical(semiclassical) analysis of the experimental data, concerning mean values ofmacroscopic variables the semiclassical description breaks down below theCoulomb barrier.Note:
