Abstract: (APS)

The t distribution for photoproduction of ρ0 and ω0 mesons from hydrogen has been measured for incident energies between 2.9 and 4.7 GeV. A Söding interference model fits the ρ0 data and gives t distributions in agreement with π±p elastic scattering and most previous ρ0 experiments. The ω0 t distribution changes with incident energy but in our highest-energy bin 3.7≤k≤4.7 GeV becomes diffractive and is consistent with being equal to a constant times the ρ0 t distribution.
