Abstract: (APS)
Perturbation corrections to energies obtained by variational methods are computed for the "homework" neutron liquid. First, the Jastrow wave function is optimized by means of the paired-phonon analysis. Next, effects of three-particle correlations are estimated through a second-order perturbation calculation. Both corrections are small, amounting to about 5% and 1%, respectively.References(10)
