Responsibilities

The Department of Physics at Northeastern University invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track) in theoretical high energy particle physics, broadly defined, to begin in fall 2015. Applicants in the fields of LHC phenomenology, astro-particle physics, and/or cosmology are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should be prepared to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, attract external funding for an independent research program, augment the research activities of the existing high energy theory group, deepen interconnections with the experimental high energy group, and build relationships with colleagues in the Boston area and beyond.

Qualifications

The successful applicant is expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field such as theoretical particle physics, astro-particle physics and/or cosmology prior to the start of the appointment
