Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Experimental Nuclear Physics and/or Experimental Particle Physics

The Physics Department at Indiana University/Bloomington invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. Candidates with research interests in experimental nuclear physics and/or experimental particle physics are invited to apply.

Candidates should possess a PhD and have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and demonstrated excellence in research. In exceptional cases, candidates at more senior levels may be considered. Applications from candidates with research programs in particle/nuclear astrophysics are also encouraged. IUB researchers play leadership roles in several nuclear/particle/astrophysics research areas including collider physics (ATLAS), neutrino oscillations (NOvA and DUNE), neutrino scattering (COHERENT), cosmic rays (CREST), QCD spin physics (STAR), baryon spectroscopy (GLUEX), accelerator-based dark matter searches (MiniBooNE), and searches for BSM physics in precision measurements, mainly using low energy neutrons. Noteworthy local resources at IU to support this work include excellent computing facilities and the extensive infrastructure of the IU Center for the Exploration of Energy and Matter (CEEM).
