Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on the CMS experiment.

The selected candidate will work in a group that played a leading role in the discovery of the Higgs boson. The group’s current physics activities include searches for Dark Matter, rare and exotic decays of the Higgs boson and preparations for measurement of Di-Higgs production at the LHC. The successful candidate is expected to play a major role in these analysis efforts and also contribute to Phase II CMS Tracker upgrade activities.

Applicants must have excellent data analysis and computing skills and possess the ability to carry out research independently. A Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics at the time of appointment is required.
