The ATLAS group at the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow in the field of Experimental High Energy Physics for an exciting new research focusing on Tests of Lepton Universality with the measurement of R(K*), but not limited to that.

 Work on low-pT lepton trigger and/or reconstruction is expected. Besides data-analysis and performance work, candidates are also expected to work on the sTGC project, within the context of the New Small Wheel project in ATLAS. The post is to be based in WIS [1] with frequent trips to CERN.

 

The applicant should have a PhD degree in physics, excellent knowledge in experimental particle physics and excellent programming skills (C++, Python, ROOT). Experience in machine-learning techniques is an advantage, as well as some experience with detector instrumentation.

Applicants can start employment no later than 5 years after receiving their PhD, while employment can extend up to 7 years after receiving the PhD.
