Abstract: (APS)
We discuss the formalism needed to extract transport coefficients from SU(3) gluon thermodynamics on Euclidean lattices. These can be obtained from analytic continuations of thermal correlation functions of the energy-momentum tensor. The feasibility of such a procedure is analyzed. A Monte Carlo simulation on an 83×4 lattice has been performed as a first attempt to study the behavior of thermal correlation functions of the energy-momentum tensor. The results are compared with analytic calculations of transport coefficients in the collision-time approximation.- GAUGE FIELD THEORY: SU(3)
