Abstract: (Elsevier Ltd)

•Production of isotopically pure ¹⁵⁵Gd targets.•Proton activation of isotopically pure ¹⁵⁵Gd targets.•First measurement of ¹⁵⁵Gd(p,x)¹⁵⁵Tb and ¹⁵⁶Tb cross-sections around 25 MeV.•Comparison of data obtained with pure ¹⁵⁵Gd proton-activated targets, with TENDL-2023 library.•Highlight relevance of ¹⁵⁵Gd targets use to limit production of the main contaminant ¹⁵⁶Tb.
