Abstract: (Elsevier)

Following the proposal of Jaffe and Johnson that the lowest mass 0 ++ nonet should be composed of q qq qq states, we use the results of recent analyses of high statistics data to show that the ϵ(700) does indeed have couplings to mesons and baryons in keeping with it being a predominantly u u d d state.
