Abstract: (Taylor and Francis)
An experimental project (LEPS2 project) on quark nuclear physics has been going on at SPring-8, where the LEPS and LEPS2 beam-lines dedicated to hadron physics have been operated by RCNP-Osaka University in collaboration with ELPH-Tohoku University. These two organizations are individual Joint Usage/Research Centers open for all researchers in the world to promote sub-atomic science and electron photon science, respectively. Forming, so to speak, a virtual institute at SPring-8 made up with many organizations including RCNP and ELPH, we started the LEPS2 project advancing new generation experiments in this field using a high intensity photon beam and large solid-angle detector systems. The project is comprised of two types of general-purpose experiments, LEPS2-BGOegg and LEPS2-solenoid experiments, the experimental arrangement of which at the LEPS2 beam-line is shown in Figure 1.- SPring-8 Stor
