Abstract: (Elsevier)
It is shown that for the case of strong coupling of the S ∗ -resonance with the K K -channel a theoretical ambiguity in the interpretation of the S ∗ -phenomenon data appears. As a result we come to the conclusion that there are no serious grounds to give credence to the generally accepted behaviour of the I =0 S-wave phase shift for the reaction ππ → ππ above the K K - threshold .- INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTS
