The isospin forbidden reaction d + d → 4 He + π 0 provides a very sensitive test of the existence of charge symmetry breaking nuclear interactions. In the δ (3,3) energy region, the forward differential cross section d σ(0°)/ d Ω of the reaction is calculated to be in the range of 0.1 pb/sr to 0.01 pb/sr.- DEUTERON DEUTERON: INELASTIC SCATTERING
