The reaction d + d → 4 He + π o , forbidden by isotopic spin conversation, has been studied using 1.89 GeV/ c incident deuterons. The upper limit of the differential cross section (dσ/dΩ) c.m. obtained for this reaction at θ c . m . = 79 o is: 1.9 × 10 −35 cm 2 /sr.References(13)
