Abstract: (Oxford Journals)
An extension of the Skyrme model is made to include pions, ρ and A_1 mesons. The vector and axial-vector mesons are considered as the dynamical gauge bosons of a hidden local SU(2)_L×SU(2)_R symmetry. The electroweak interaction is also included by gauging subgroups of a global chiral symmetry. The resulting lagrangian consistently describes a variety of a low energy relations such as the soft-pion theorems, the ρ universality, Weinberg’s mass relation, the KSRF relation and the equal coupling of the W bosons to the ρ and A_1 mesons.- Skyrme model
