An analysis has been made of data for the reactions p p → π − π + and p p → π 0 π 0 in the mass range W ⩽ 2.5GeV using a method exploiting analyticity and crossing symmetry via hyperbolic dispersion relations. Results are presented for the invariant amplitudes of the process.
