Abstract: (ADS)
The results of a computation of the spectrum of density fluctuations produced during inflation in an open universe are summarized and used to assess a cosmogony based on the cold dark matter (CDM) picture. We conclude that a low-density open model, in common with the flat model dominated by a cosmological constant, has the fewest apparent observational difficulties among the versions of the CDM cosmogony now under analysis.
